Back at home

We are back at home now. They gave Neal medicine for his stomach. Hopefully he will be able to eat so that he gets some energy. Other than dialysis he has not left the house since getting out of the hospital 3 weeks ago and he is asleep all of the time. We are supposed to be going out for Matt's birthday tonight and he said he may go as well. We will see how he feels.

Matt mentioned it and I am not sure if anyone else can figure it out, but the clock on my posts is not accurate. I have no clue how to fix it. Whatever time the post says add about 3 hours.

Is anyone out there? Leslie, all of our mom's (Matt, Leslie, Ryan and mine) and Jen appear to be the only ones reading! Feel free to leave a post whether it be a hello, a joke or whatever so we know you are out there.

Wanted to let you know I am out there and keeping up-to-date on your progress. Let me know if you need anything at all (and I mean that - don't hesitate to ask). You are all in my thoughts. Keep on truckin' (whether in a Festiva or a PIMP limo)!

Noelle and I are reading this regularly, so again (I know, there's a line) if you guys need/want anything, let us know. Ryan and Leslie -- if you have any questions about having a baby, and are interested in the perspective of two people who just went through it (and were completely clueless about it...and still are completely clueless about it), we'd be happy to share.

And I'm not good with jokes, unless we're playing that state up north. That's why I stick with Sahara-like sarcasm. No set-up involved, no punchline to massacre...and it always keeps people on their toes.

We are here, sending good vibes your way. Hopefully you are getting them!

Let me know what you need. I'll bring the little man over on Saturday to cut your grass. If you'd like me to make a few dinners, just let me know.

Steve and I have been thinking about you guys and are here for you if you need anything at all. This blog is such a great way to share support and even though we dont see each other all the time you are always in our thoughts. Neal, Michele, Ryan and Leslie, let us know if there is anything we can do to help!!!

I am out here and just wanted you to know that I appreciate the regular updates. Hope that Neal has been able to keep food down and therefore has a bit more energy.

Just checked into a moped scooter and they get up to 60miles per gallon which might be a bit better then what you are currently getting....but the tank only holds 3 gallons. Depending on how far the hospital is you might want to give this a thought :-)

To all that read this in Columbus:

We are having a cookout on Sunday, 4pm. Just wanted to invite everyone. We'll provide the food and fun, just bring your beverage of choice. I can forward you directions if you haven't been here yet! Don't mapquest, it will give you the wrong directions.

Neal has always wanted a moped. If I told him that he would jump on it in a second! I actually enjoy riding them as well, but am not that big of a risk taker!

Jim - thank you for your offering of advice...we just might take you up on that! Ryan and I are totally clueless as well but, come October, we will have no choice but to learn by DOING (and I'm sure there will never be a dull moment!!!) I hope that baby Jack is doing well - thanks again:)
